How answers work
Five rules, applied to every answer — and what happens when they can’t be.
- Official sources only. City and county sites, the municipal code, and state law where it controls. Never forums, never news, never another AI.
- Assumptions are stated. The ones that change the answer sit above it, with a one-tap change — never buried in a paragraph.
- Verdicts wait. No answer renders until the sources confirm it. If they conflict or look stale, the page says exactly that instead.
- Every claim cites. Numbered sources on every claim, each one linking straight to the official page it came from.
- Questions stay yours. Not stored with your identity, never sold, no account. Your city is remembered on this device only.
What we are
- An independent service.
- Plain-language explanations of the rules.
- A router to the right official door.
What we’re not
- Not the city, and not affiliated with it.
- Not legal advice.
- Never the final action — that happens on the official site.
When sources disagree: the newer, more specific, higher-authority rule controls — and the answer shows both, labeled, so you can check us.
Corrections. “Report an error” is on every page. Verified fixes ship within 24 hours. City staff can claim a correction channel under For cities.
